T-Mobile sold first cells with Google Android

Christopher Laddise of San Francisco on Tuesday became the very first private owner of a T-Mobile G1, unwrapping the first smartphone running Google’s open-source Android software platform to wild applause at a special pre-launch event in the City by the Bay.T-Mobile, headquartered in Bellevue, Wash., will officially launch the G1 at its retail stores in 95 cities across the United States Wednesday, many of which will open early at 8 a.m. for the release of the $179 handset, and as many as 1.5 million existing T-Mobile customers have reportedly pre-ordered the devices. Midnight Club Los Angeles Remix EUR PSP-ACCiDENT

If anything, the developers at Rockstar London are ambitious about the PSP version of their latest arcade racing game, Midnight Club: LA Remix. No, the game won’t feature the sprawling Los Angeles that will be found in the console versions of the game, but you’ll still have plenty of SoCal streets to drive on, as we found out during a recent visit by Rockstar reps and our hands-on time with LA Remix.

LA Remix follows a fairly standard plot: You play as an up-and-coming driver establishing a reputation as a force to be reckoned with after arriving in Los Angeles. To do so, you’ll need to–what else?–race every living thing you can in the hottest car you can muster. That’s the premise, but the execution on the PSP looks to be impressive, with nice graphics and a ton of options you can use to customize your rides in the game. While the game’s version of LA won’t be as large as the console versions, the different versions will share the exact same roster of cars and customizable parts.

X3: Terran Conflict is a brand new, stand-alone game set in the universe of X3. It is the culmination of the X trilogy, with a grand finale that takes us all the way back to Earth’s own solar system. The entire city of Los Angeles is your playground as you speed through the streets, parking lots, and back alleys in Midnight Club: Los Angeles, all on your way to becoming the most notable racer in the city.
